The ceremony which was held at the Şehitkamil Culture and Congress Center with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Ali Babacan, Minister of Family and Social Policies Mrs.Fatma Şahin, Governor of Gaziantep Mr. Erdal Ata, Members of the Parliament from Gaziantep, President of the Union of Chamber and Commodity Exchanges Mr. Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Mr. Asım Güzelbey. During the ceremony, 89 companies have been awarded in different categories.

Naksan Plastik and Royal Halı have received awards in the categories of Top 500 Industrial enterprises of Turkey. In addition, Naksan Plastik and Royal Halı also received awards in the categories of R&D along with Turkish Scientific and Technical Researches Institution (TÜBİTAK).

The Deputy Prime Minister Mr.Ali Babacan has given the award of Naksan Plastik Enerji San. Ve Tic. A.Ş. which joined the Istanbul Chamber of Industry 500 list to the Board Chairman Mr. Osman Nakıboğlu. The Gaziantep Governor Mr. Erdal Ata has given the award of Royal Halı which also joined the Top 500 Industrial Enterprises in Turkey to the Board Chairman of Royal Halı Mr. Taner Nakıboğlu.

In the category of design and registration, the General Manager of Royal Halı, Mr.Cihan Dağcı has received the award from the Parliament representative of Gaziantep Mr.Halil Mazıcıoğlu. In the category of company with the most industrial designs, the Research & Development manager of Royal Halı Mr. Tayfun Cevher received the award from the president of Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Mr. Mehmet Aslan. In addition to this, once again, on behalf of Naksan Plastik, Mr. Kadir Ataş has received the award in the category of company with the most industrial designs from Parliament representative of Gaziantep Mr.Mehmet Erdoğan.

The contributions of Naksan Holding, which assumed the title of one of the corporations which received the most awards among the companies that took place in the ‘‘Stars of Gaziantep 2012’’ will continue for the national economy.

Serving Ashura during the Month of Muharram which has been traditionalized by Naksan Holding has reached to 20 thousand people this year.

The ashuras which have been prepared with the full support of Naksan Holding’s Honorary President Mr.Şıh Mehmet Nakıboğlu are served to mosques, student dormitories, foundations, associations, governmental agencies, workers of Naksan together with their families and relatives in Gaziantep.

Naksan Holding’s Honorary President Mr. Şıh Mehmet Nakıboğlu mentioned how important and merit is the month of Muharram and added: ‘‘Every year during the month of Muharram, as Naksan, We serve ashura to our citizens and workers. Hereby, we wanted to remind the Month of Muharram, the sign of prosperity and plentifulness to everyone. Inshallah, Allah would give health and welfare to everyone this year.’’

Mr. Nakıboğlu emphasized the fact that these holy days should be considered importantly. ‘‘When the different ingredients used in ashura comes together, there comes a good taste. As Turkish community, we will find peace as long as we come together regardless of language, religion and race difference. By serving ashura, one of the most beautiful symbols of Muharram Month, we wish to pass this beautiful culture to the new generation and maintain the cultural heritage.’’

* Ashura(Noah’s Pudding) is a desert prepared by cooking many different kind of fruits, nuts and wheat in the same pan.

Royal Halı, which has attracted great attention of the participators with its Marbled Carpet in the Innovation Turkey Expo held in Istanbul, has provided the visitors chance of creating their own marbled carpet. Thanks to this practice, visitors have got chance to see their own marbling designs on the carpets. In their demonstration of technique, the marbling carpet representatives of Royal Halı have given information about the source of interest to Marbling Art coming from the past and how the color designs formed on the water are transferred on to carpets.

Royal Halı’s research and development director Mr.Tayfun Cevher have said: ‘‘We weave Marbling Art coming from the Ottoman period into our carpets. The Marbled Carpets, which is done with hand labour, are shaped with finger prints.’’Mr. Tayfun Cevher reminded that the success obtained as a result of research and development works of Royal Halı is awarded by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), and as a result awarded with ISO Innovation Jury’s Special Award thanks to value added products.

1350 MacBook Air computers were distributed to all the students waiting in the queue. After the distribution of the computers, MacBook Air computers were introduced to the students by Elmacıpazarı and Naksan Teknoloji staff. In the seminar, along with the usage of MacBook Air, students were informed to be able to use their computer more efficiently in their classes. Thus, the students of Zirve University have enjoyed the happiness of owning the latest technology.

The general manager of Elmacı Pazarı, Mr. Umut Kumbasar made a statement about the issue and said: ‘‘The technological sub-structure of Zirve University is completely based on Apple. The Mac computers are designed to improve the thinking skills of today’s students.’’

Mr. Kumbasar finally stated: ‘‘By means of using Macbook, the students will be able to create significant digital projects which will expose their creativity. With also universal access features, all the students may become productive in a short time. For the education in 21.Century, we believe that Apple education technology is the optimal system for the students.’’

Together with the handicapped people, Naksan Plastik’s Chairman of the Board Mr. Osman Nakıboğlu, Naksan Plastik General Director Mr. Sadettin Korkut and Chairperson of the Turkish Disabled Association’s Gaziantep Branch Mr. Hulusi Kalender have attended the ceremony held in front of the Naksan Holding Protocol Building.

Naksan Holding’s Chairman of the Board Mr. Osman Nakıboğlu made a speech during the ceremony and said ‘‘Reintegrating our disabled citizens is one of our fundamental duties. Every segment that forms the society should be sensitive to our disabled citizens. We are really proud to take place in organizations helping disabled citizens to produce and help them to adopt in cultural and social life and we believe to support them at all times.’’

Naksan Plastik’s General Director Mr. Sadettin Korkut mentioned: ‘‘Naksan Holding is a big family. With social responsibility projects, we both develop a better connection between our employees and fulfill our social responsibilities in many fields presenting good examples throughout the country. Chairperson of the Turkish Disabled Association’s Gaziantep Branch, Mr. Hulusi Kalender pointed out to the fact that Naksan Holding is a helpful corporation to the society not only with exemplary social responsibility projects but also other activities and added ‘‘This sensitive act that we have witnessed today should serve as a model to other agencies and institutes. 10 of our disabled citizens will now be able perceive life positively. Together, we can overcome the obstacles. In all kinds of our problems, we especially see the support of Naksan Plastik’s Chairman of the Board Mr. Osman Nakıboğlu along with all members of Naksan family. Meeting the basic needs of disabled people who produce instead of consume will help them to have extrovert personalities. We would like to thank Naksan Holding and its workers for their support.’’

In the Europe’s 3rd largest fair, Eurasia Packaging Fair, where production power and technological development is exhibited together with conceptual skills, the fair stand of Naksan Plastik impressed the visitors and became the source of pride for the sector with its innovative products and presentation.

Naksan Plastik’s General Director Mr. Sadettin Korkut has told that more than 50 thousand visitors have participated to the Eurasia Packaging Fair organized for the 18th time this year and added: ‘‘We saw that our fair stand attracted intensive attention in an international fair and this made us glad. We met with our potential and current customers and told our improvements.

Mr. Korkut continued as: ‘‘ Over 7 thousand foreign customers have met with participant companies in this fair. This fair really shows that Turkey is the center of packaging of Eurasia. Apart from all European countries, North Africa, Middle East, Caucasia, Middle Asia, Far East and Balkan states have showed a great interest in the fair. Participating to the Packaging Fair which appeals to a large mass is important for Naksan which exports to 5 continents. This kind of fairs are critically import for improving export.’’

New products that bear the signatures of Turkey’s outstanding designers have attracted great attention of the visitors. Especially, the new ‘Eyvan’, ‘Nev’, ‘Lokum’ and ‘Efsun’ Collections became the focal point of many professionals and visitors. Atlas Halı welcomed the professionals who want to enlarge their dealer network throughout Turkey. In addition, it provided an opportunity to a large number of dealership agreements.

Atlas Halı introduced the new Photo Decoration Application in the Private Living Space within the fair stand. The first and only Iphone / IPad application of Atlas Halı, designed for Carpet Sector, has attracted attention of the visitors. This application provided opportunity for the visitors to see and test the Atlas Halı Collections as they were in their own living room.

‘’Dark Room’’ in which ‘Moon Light’ series from Night and Children Collection with glossy yarn technology were presented, was another part of Atlas Halı Stand that attracted attention.

The executives of Atlas Halı have stated that the Gaziantep Middle East Carpets Fair has been very productive and met their expectations.

The latest series ‘Nev’, ‘Eyvan’, ‘Lokum’ and ‘Efsun’, that recently joined the collection 2012 in Autumn bears the signatures of Turkey’s leading successful designers like Kunter Şekercioğlu, Ece-Oğuz Yalım & Feride Toprak, Gamze Güven, Ali Taran, Başak Ergin, Özgür Uşaklıgil, Erdem Akan and Boğaç Şimşir and attracted a lot of attention at the fair with their good quality and designs.

Atlas Halı has introduced its ‘Atlas Halı Photo Decoration Application’ designed to help its customers to choose the optimal carpet in the private living space installed within the fair stand. It allowed the visitors to take photo of this space and place the desired carpet in the room, helping to see the harmony between the room and the carpet.

The first and only IPhone / IPad application of the carpet sector have attracted great interest of the visitors and professionals allowing highly enjoyable decoration experience.

The real game for Royal Halı and Pierre Cardin Halı has just started now

Domestic Sales and Marketing Deputy General Manager of Royal Halı and Pierre Cardin, Mr. Aydoğan Yıldır said that they took part in the fair with seven creations in total of which three from Royal Halı and four from Pierre Cardin Halı. Mr. Yıldır also added: ‘‘In some of our current products, we reflected the trending colours of this year by creating new colour groups. With our over 200 designs, we became the most popular carpet company of the fair. We are increasing our showroom number every passing day and the real game has just started now.’’

Our aim is to open 250 Showrooms for Royal Halı and 150 for Pierre Cardin Halı

Royal Halı, which has 1200 subdealers and more than 200 showrooms, accomplished 80% of its goal of reaching a number of 250 showrooms as planned in the beginning of the year. Mr. Aydoğan Yıldır said: ‘‘By the end of year, we will surpass our target. On the other hand, Pierre Cardin Halı which has 650 sub dealers started out 2012 with a target of 150 showrooms. We have managed to accomplish most of our target up to present and we will surpass our target at the end of the year, the real game for Royal Halı and Pierre Cardin Halı starts now. ’’ Mr.Aydoğan also added: ‘’ We employ about 600 people and 25% of the our production is exported to about 30 countries among which United States, Germany, Italy, England, Canada Australia, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Ukraine, Mauritania, Algeria, Libya, China, India and Japan take place. We will continue our growth with Antimicrobial Carpets, Insured-Carpet and other investments. We sell not only to Turkey but also to the World with our production facility in Gaziantep which has 100.000 m2 indoor area built on a 50 Hectare land with a production capacity of 6.500.000m2 per year.

We officially registered Antimicrobial with Biocidal

Mr. Aydoğan Yıldır, Domestic Sales and Marketing Deputy General Manager of Royal Halı and Pierre Cardin said that the importance given to R&D and Innovation has always carried the company to the leadership among the sector. ‘‘Thanks to 3 Efficient Carpet Project with antibacterial, antimite and antifungal features, we received biocidal product certificate with regard to antimicrobial products from the Ministry of Health at the end of 2011. In addition to this, we also received antibacterial product certificate from Ecological Test Research and Development Center (EKOTEKS) in 2009. We set up our own laboratory with the certificates that we have received. Our antimicrobial carpets are now officially registered with biocidal product certificate received by the Ministry of Health.

First throughout the World! Royal Marbling Carpet

Mr. Aydoğan said that they continue their working process with the ‘Innovation is Difference’ philosophy and brought out Royal Marbling Carpet by adapting Turkish hand craft marbling art into carpet designs. Thus, we realized another innovation. A team of 5 people concentrates only on this project. Mr. Aydoğan said that the Royal Marbling Carpet is totally an artistic practice and is not intended to be produced like machine-woven carpets. It will be a limited production process just like hand-made carpet. We are able to produce about 10 – 15 carpets per day.

Ceylan Saner was the announcer of the ceremony held in Four Seasons Hotel, Istanbul and the concert given by the singer Yaşar has fascinated over 400 guests who attended the ceremony.

‘‘We received ‘Gold packaging Award’ with our innovative product ‘‘Shine Protection’’ and ‘Competence Award’ with ‘‘Composed Shine’’in the category of flexible packaging. The selection Committee members have chosen 127 packaging products deserving ‘Competence 2012’ in the first stage by common consent, in the second stage, another evaluation among the packaging products were made to decide Gold, Silver and Bronze awards within their own categories.’’

Mr. Korkut finished his speech by stating ‘‘With two awards that we have received, we will also be able to compete in the WorldStar contest organized by the World Packaging Organization. Our aim is to receive another important award in WorldStar contest and represent our country and sector in the best way.’’
