Royal Halı, which is among the most important carpet companies of Türkiye, created “Ebru” based rug designs at its exhibition stand in Sankopark Shopping Mall.

Ebru artist Mehmet Ali Ersoy, who is also the consultant of Royal Halı for ebru designs, applied his art on rugs during the two days performance at Sankopark. The artist helped many participants to perform the art of ebru during the activity which was the focus of attention of citizens.

“WE APPLIED THE ART OF EBRU ON CARPETS”

Mehmet Ali Ersoy, the ebru artist and consultant of Royal Halı, expressing he had been in textile business as the manager of dying departments for years; explained that they have managed to apply the fine art of “Ebru” on rugs. Ersoy said; “We did it by our determined efforts, while everybody warned us on the difficulty of the job” and went on: “Dating 600 years back, the art of Ebru is a feature of Turkish handicrafts, but unfortunately the Turkish people don’t know much about it. Royal Halı designed this exhibition stand in order to teach the art of ebru and the citizens showed great interest in it.”
